Mongrel is a crushing death metal/hardcore band from San Diego, California. Known for their heavy, grimey sound combining mid-90s death metal and late-90s hardcore. They draw heavily from old-school death metal, Swedish death metal (“swe-death”), and heavy beatdown. Their sonic identity marries 90s extreme metal with intense, metallic hardcore.
