No Retreat is a legendary beatdown hardcore band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, formed in 1993. They are best known for their heavy, metal-influenced sound and their seminal album, Rise of the Underdog (1999). The band was a prominent fixture in the East Coast hardcore scene until their breakup in 2003, shortly after the release of their second album, Pray For Peace. A staple of the Pennsylvania/East Coast hardcore scene. They were primarily influenced by their peers in the late 90s/early 2000s scene, specifically citing Krutch and Fury of Five as early, direct influences.
Michael Christmas is a rapper from Boston, Massachusetts, best known for his humorous, self-deprecating lyrics and “everyman” persona. Christmas’s music often explores themes of ordinary life, awkwardness, and pop culture, diverging from the more serious or aggressive styles traditional in East Coast hip-hop. Michael Christmas draws from a eclectic mix of hip-hop legends, jazz masters, and unconventional comedy figures. Redman, Ol’ Dirty Bastard (ODB), Ice Cube, Soulja Boy, Wiz Khalifa, The Cool Kids, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Bernie Mac and John Belushi. Just to name a few.
Antoine Amari Reed (born December 24, 1987) is an American rapper better known by his stage name Sir Michael Rocks (or Mikey Rocks). He started his music career in 2005 as a member of the hip hop duo The Cool Kids, and later joined the groups All City Chess Club, the “super group” P.O.C. (Pulled Over by the Cops), and The Toothpick Clique. Heavily influenced by 1980s/90s hip-hop, Chicago rap legends, and eclectic, retro-futuristic sounds. Key influences include Outkast, Gorillaz, LL Cool J, Twista, Kanye West, and Common. His style, both as a solo artist and in The Cool Kids, blends minimalistic, 808-driven production with themes of fashion, nature, and, in his later work, more abstract, conceptual ideas.
IT’S COMMON THAT BLACK PEOPLE ARE OPPRESSED & LIMITED TO GANG CULTURE, CARIBBEAN CULTURE, & HIP HOP CULTURE WHILE WHITE PEOPLE ARE WELCOMED IN ALL CULTURES WITHOUT SO MUCH QUESTIONING & REJECTION COMPARED TO A BLACK PERSON TRYING SOMETHING NEW & UNIQUE LIKE SKATEBOARDING OR SOMETHING THAT IS SADLY WHITEWASHED.
MUSIC CULTURE IS SOMETHING THAT’S NOT BASED ON THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN BUT THE EXPRESSION OF YOUR TRUE AND RAW EMOTIONS & THAT’S WHY MUSIC IS SO ATTRACTIVE NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF MUSIC UNLESS YOU ARE BIASED OR WHITEWASHED. IT IS TRUE SOME MUSIC IS AN ACQUIRED TASTE, BUT IF YOU ARE OPEN-MINDED AND WILLING, YOU WILL LEARN TO LOVE A MUSIC CULTURE JUST LIKE HOW WHITE PEOPLE LEARN TO LOVE OTHER PEOPLE’S CULTURES. THAT WAS A JOKE, BUT IT IS TRUE. WE HAVE TO REALLY EDUCATE OURSELVES & REALLY LEARN OTHERS AS MUCH AS WE SHOULD LEARN OURSELVES AND APPRECIATE ONE ANOTHER.
BUT, GOING BACK TO MUSIC CULTURES. BLACK PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DOING DIFFERENT KIND OF MUSIC CULTURES FOR A LONG TIME. THE CREATION OF SCATTING INSPIRED JAZZ & BLUES, & OTHER MUSIC CULTURES. PRAYER AND COMMUNITY SONGS DURING SLAVERY INSPIRED GOSPEL MUSIC & OTHER SING ALONG KIND OF MUSIC LIKE THAT. JIMMY HENDRIX, JAMES BROWN, BAD BRAINS & OTHER OLD SCHOOL BLACK ARTISTS LIKE THEMSELVES INSPIRED HIP HOP, PUNK, METAL, AND SO MUCH MORE!
BLACK MODERN ARTISTS LIKE AARON HEARD & ANDRE 3000 ARE CARRYING THE TORCH FOR THE PROGRESSION OF BLACK PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT CULTURES.
ANDRE 3000 ON THE LEFT / AARON HEARD ON THE RIGHT
AARON HEARD IS A VOCALIST FOR A HARDCORE BAND NAMED JESUS PIECE(WHICH STARTED OUT AS A SUB-GENRE OF PUNK MUSIC BUT NOW HAS ITS OWN CULTURE AND AESTHETIC & GOT COMBINED WITH METAL MUSIC AS THE MUSIC GOT HEAVIER SOUNDING & LESS TRADITIONAL PUNK-ISH, SO SOMETIMES CAN BE REFERRED TO AS “HEAVY METAL” EVEN THOUGH HARDCORE IS MORE OF ITS OWN MUSIC CULTURE BUT YOU CAN LEAVE A COMMENT AND WE CAN DISCUSS THAT. NOW ENJOY THIS VIDEO!
ANDRE 3000 IS A HIP HOP ARTIST. HE IS PART OF A HIP HOP GROUP CALLED OUTKAST. HE’S NOT A NEW AGE HIP HOP ARTIST LIKE TRAVIS SCOTT OR LIL UZI VERT BUT HE IS STILL A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OF WHAT IS “BLACK EXCELLENCE” AND WHAT HIP HOP IS TRULY ABOUT OR AT LEAST WHAT IT ORIGINATED FROM AND HE IS STILL MAINTAINING AND SHARING THE TORCH AMONGST HIS PEERS NEW AND OLD NO MATTER WHAT CULTURE THEY FEEL LIKE THEY BELONG TO.
MUSIC IS LIKE A NOTEBOOK, IT CAN BE OPENED AND WRITTEN BY ANYONE THAT WANTS TO WRITE IN IT.

The things we wished we knew in our 20s– because all of us seem to make a lot of the same mistakes, and we hope you can avoid many of the ones that were made 🙂 – You’re not supposed to have it figured out yet – BUT, don’t waste your 20s – There is more to life than music – Cut out toxic people – Don’t make partying your lifestyle – Long-distance relationships don’t work – Don’t move for someone else – Moving won’t solve your problems – Learn financial literacy (I recommend “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” by Ramit Sethi) – It’s easier to make money than you may think – Be intentional about how you invest your time — ▶ SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/prmbasub — ▶ INSTAGRAM: http://instagram.com/finnmckenty ▶ TWITTER: http://instagram.com/finnmckenty ▶ MERCH: https://teespring.com/stores/prmba-me… — Join the PRMBA Facebook group, a 100% positive, spam-free community of awesome people helping each other achieve their goals ▶ https://www.facebook.com/groups/prmba…

HOMELESS PEOPLE ARE HUMANS AS WELL! TREAT THEM THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED.
YES, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF FORCEFUL PANHANDLERS IN THE WORLD, BUT DON’T GIVE THEM MONEY, TALK TO THEM, UNDERSTAND THEIR SITUATIONS AND MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND GRATITUDE BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE TO WORK EVERY DAY AND ARE BORN INTO A SOCIETY OF COLONIALISM SO WE ALL SUFFER. EVEN THOUGH YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND A HOMELESS PERSON’S LIFE, THEY SHOULD ALSO HAVE MUTUAL CONSIDERATION AND IF THEY ARE GOING TO PANHANDLE, THEY SHOULD DO IT A VERY CONSIDERATE WAY! YES, WE ALL STRUGGLE, BUT THERE ARE ALSO OPPORTUNITIES TO BE MADE AS WELL EVERY DAY. IT ALL DEPENDS HOW WILLING YOU ARE TO GET OUT OF YOUR UNFORTUNATE SITUATION. IF YOU ENCOUNTER THE CRAZY TYPES OF PANHANDLERS, “FORCEFUL PREACHERS”, AND OTHER INCONSIDERATE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE HOMELESS, DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY OR DO NOT ENTERTAIN THEIR NEGATIVE ENERGY SINCE IT IS SIMILAR TO THE EVERY DAY OPPRESSIVE ENERGY OF THE JUSTICE SYSTEM, STEREOTYPES, RACISM, SEXISM, AND MUCH MORE GOING ON EVERY DAY WE SHOULD PAY MORE ATTENTION TO IN OUR COMMUNITIES, ETC. EVERY DAY THERE IS SOMEONE STRUGGLING TO PAY BILLS, STRUGGLING TO PAY THE RENT ON TIME, STRUGGLING TO PAY SOMEONE THEY OWE, AND MUCH MORE, SO INVESTING IN A HOMELESS PERSON THAT FEELS STUCK WITHOUT USING SYSTEMS HE OR SHE IS ABLE TO MANIPULATE FOR THEIR PROGRESSION IS POINTLESS UNLESS YOU CAN GIVE THEM LONG TERM PROGRESSION LIKE YOU CAN GIVE YOURSELF! COMPLACENCY SHOULD NOT BE A GOAL! AN ULTIMATE GOAL FOR EVERYONE SHOULD BE TO LIVE LIFE COMFORTABLY AND DO WHATEVER THEY WANT WHILE GAINING REVENUE AND LONG TERM ASSETS. AT THE END OF THE DAY, EVERY HUMAN BEING NEEDS EMOTIONAL SECURITY TO REALLY UNDERSTAND THEMSELVES, FINANCIAL SECURITY TO LIVE LIFE COMFORTABLY IN OUR HUMAN SYSTEMS AND MAYBE CAUSE REFORM IN OUR OPPRESSIVE WAYS, AND HORMONAL SECURITY SINCE WE ALL HAVE HORMONES SO WE CAN ALL USE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER AND GETTING LONELY IS NATURAL ANYWAY. SO, WE JUST MIGHT HATE HOMELESS PEOPLE BECAUSE WE MISUNDERSTAND THEM AND THE INCONSIDERATE ONES MAKE THEM LOOK BAD JUST LIKE HOW WE HATE RAPISTS, ABUSERS, AND KILLERS BUT SOME OF THEM ARE INNOCENT AND FRAMED AND ARE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF SECRETLY JUST LIKE THERE ARE SOME HOMELESS PEOPLE THAT MIND THEIR BUSINESS AND GET ABUSED BY POLICE OR RANDOM PEOPLE. HUMANITY IS A CRAZY ROLLERCOASTER RIDE OF PREDICAMENTS!

HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO EVERYONE. MAY THIS DAY BE A REMINDER TO LIVE AND ENJOY YOUR LIVES EVERYDAY, TO BE GRATEFUL THAT YOU ARE STILL ALIVE, THAT YOU STILL HAVE LOVED ONES(FRIENDS, FAMILY, ANYONE YOU HAVE A BOND WITH) YOU SHOULDN’T TAKE FOR GRANTED, THAT YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN PURPOSE EVERYDAY, THAT YOU CAN BE AWARE OF WHAT GOES ON IN HUMANITY EVERYDAY AND DO YOUR PART TO GUIDE HUMANITY IN A MUTUALLY CONSIDERATE PATH, THAT EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE OBSTACLES IN LIFE, YOU WILL OVERCOME BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT GIVE UP, YOU WILL NOT GET LAZY, YOU WILL NOT GET TOO COMFORTABLE AND YOU WILL REALIZE LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT JUST LIKE OUR FELLOW SERVICE-MEMBERS THAT CHOSE THEIR PATHS AND ARE FACING WHATEVER DAILY OBSTACLES THEY ARE FACING EVERYDAY.

“The hood” and “the projects” are just neighborhoods you live in, your minds are the ones that’s been corrupted by colonialism, selfishness, whitewashing, continuous misunderstanding of gang culture, misunderstanding of african descent, misunderstanding of native “american” history and how it all plays a great involvement in hispanic, black(african descent) and other ethnic cultures/nationalities, etc. Why do you think black/african descent culture is praised by most because blacks/african descent are the most innovating of the human race(not to brag, just praising the human will to progress versus opposition) but it’s sad we hate on our own blacks and “minorities” when we forget that we are all forced to hate each other and segregate ourselves physically and mentally by the sneaky colonial tactics that were placed for us here in United State when all humans are relevant to each other no matter what. We must use the systematic procedures of the United States and make the United States and everywhere we go more humane and mutually considerate. QUESTION EVERYTHING! We love you all.
